Calling all the Moms!!

If you’re just like us, your health and nutrition needs may get pushed to the back burner. With lots of kiddos in the household, it may be difficult to reach your goals while managing carpools, grocery runs, and the 24/7 requests. But here’s the thing, you deserve to feel your best, not just for your family, but for yourself.

This Mother’s Day, we want to celebrate moms of all kinds and highlight how nutrition plays a powerful role in supporting you through every stage of life. Whether you’re prepping for baby, chasing toddlers, juggling teen schedules, or enjoying your empty-nest era, let’s prioritize you.

Here’s how you can show your body a little love through each phase:

·         Pregnancy & Postpartum - Your body is doing amazing things! During pregnancy, your nutrient needs increase, especially for folate and iron. Small, frequent meals with lean protein, whole grains, and fruits and veggies can help keep energy steady during this time.Postpartum recovery is just as important—hydration, fiber, and easy-to-digest meals can help with healing and digestion. And don’t forget…eating enough is key, especially if you’re breastfeeding.

·         Busy Mom Life - You’re constantly moving and probably finishing bites off your kids’ plates. We get it. Try to build your meals like a professional. Pair a protein (eggs, yogurt, chicken, fish, tofu) with fiber-rich carbs (fruits, whole grains, sweet potatoes) and healthy fats (avocado, nuts, olive oil) to stay full and ready for the busy schedule.Meal prepping and easy freezer-friendly meals can be game-changers.

·         Midlife & Beyond - As hormones shift, your body’s needs do too. Calcium and vitamin D become extra important for bone health, while fiber and omega-3s support heart and gut health.

Think: leafy greens, fortified dairy or alternatives, beans, berries, and fatty fish (like salmon). This is also a time to prioritize enjoyable movement, regular meals, and sleep. You deserve rest and nourishment.

Remember…nourishing yourself isn’t selfish, it’s essential. Whether you're fueling up for a busy day or slowing down to enjoy a moment of peace, your health matters at every age and stage.

Happy Mother’s Day to all the incredible moms out there!
