Outdoors & Oats
Energize your activities outdoors with oats – The key to sustained energy during outdoor activities.
Summer is right around the corner and the weather is warming up. As the weather gets warmer, many people start to head outside and enjoy activities in the sunshine. Whether it is going for a long walk, swimming, gardening, or participating in an outdoor sport, we know that being physically active is one of the keys to a healthy lifestyle. Before going outside and being active, it is important to get the proper fuel and nutrition. Prior to any physical exertion activity, it is vital to get a combination of carbohydrates for sustained energy, and protein to support our muscles during the activity. In these events we aim for a snack to be lighter and to strive to not cause any GI distress.
